The property is nestled in rolling hills and farmland; surrounded by the beautiful lakes that have made this part of Michigan famous. Torchlake is to the West, Lake Bellaire is to the South, Intermediate Lake is to the East, and Lake Charlevoix is to the North. Traverse City and Charlevoix are only 35 miles away and Petoskey is less than an hour drive as well. This facility is right in the middle of Michigan's growing Movie and Music industry.

Studio

The recording studio is a 1,500 square foot facility with a live room, drum room, vocal room, control room, workshop/storage area, and garage. (all of the gear goes with it!)

House

The House is 2,800 square feet and designed for entertaining, with a huge kitchen, large living room, master suite, two and a half baths, bar and two more bedrooms in the walk-out basement. All of the floors are tile or hard surface with in-floor hot water heat (warm floors all winter long!).

Both structures are constructed from the ARCS foam/concrete system. The walls are 12" thick with an R value of over 50. The ceilings are insulated and vented correctly so there is NO ice to ever worry about. These buildings are basically bomb shelters.

Story

These buildings are only three and a half years old at this time. We built them to fulfil a dream of owning our own studio and having a nice custom built home to enjoy forever. As things do, they changed, and new opportunities have caused us to want to sell them. I am currently working as a Mastering Engineer at Rolling Thunder Studio in Traverse City and working on my Aviation degree, so this beautiful studio is sitting idle. That just isn't right! It should be used for creating music and recording all of the wonderful talent that is located in the surrounding area.
